Second run in my Vibrams

I just did another quick run after work today. We had to run out to the mall right after dinner, so I didn’t have much time, but you can always squeeze 10 minutes in, right?

I was just looking for 10 minutes with the goal of keeping it as light as possible. I also tried to keep the pace a little slower than yesterday, while still maintaining a quick turnover. I felt pretty good, so decided to stretch it to 12 minutes. I thought I succeeded on running a slower pace (though I definitely picked it up a bit on the back half), but I just punched my route into MapMyRun.com and I ended up covering 1.67 miles in 12:30, which puts me at a 7:30 mile pace. Definitely quicker than I was shooting for!

I think the Vibrams definitely allow me to be a little sloppier than I would be if I were completely barefoot, so I may need to mix it up a little bit with some pure barefoot runs while I work on my form.
